EDS : How to use the GMOVE-SUIT

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, commonly known as EDS, is a grouping of several hereditary connective tissue diseases. To find out more about connective tissue and EDS, click on the titles: Focus on connective tissue, EDS: GMOVE-SUIT active compression as a solution?

What does GMOVE-SUIT bring? How to use it when you have EDS? We tell you everything!

4G mode, the boost you need

Mode 4G corresponds to program 3 which you will find in the protocol part of the GMOVE-SUIT box. The objective of this one is to inflate the sleeves of your device completely, without deflation. It is thanks to this constant compression that people with EDS are helped: it allows them to be more stable and thus avoid dislocations or tears.

How to use :

First of all, a calibration step is recommended. We estimate that depending on the pain that people with EDS may have, it is necessary to apply a pressure between 40 and 90 mmHg. It will be necessary to try several pressures to find out which one is the most appropriate.

We advise you to use it for at least 30 minutes minimum, depending on your needs, knowing that the device has an autonomy of 2 hours. The GMOVE-SUIT will accompany you during your household chores as well as during sessions with the physiotherapist, your shopping or walks.

The 0G mode, to rest your legs

Constantly pushing on the legs, some people with EDS can suffer from “restless leg syndrome”, which tires the body and makes the legs painful. The 0G mode, which corresponds to protocol 1, is the solution to relieve the lower limbs by inflating and deflating the air chambers one after the others.

How to use :

It should be used in the lying position, with cushions under the legs, for 30 to 40 minutes. It is recommended to use a pressure between 80 and 90 of mmHg and not to stand up under any circumstances, as this program does not provide the same support as 4G.
